“I will wait for God to speak, I will stand here and wait.”  Abraham’s servant

Where have I spotted the Laban syndrome in my life?

From Monday to Saturday, I follow the patterns of the world, adopting the same behaviours. Then, on Sunday, I attend church and act in a way that reflects my faith. This division between my everyday life and my spiritual identity mirrors the Laban syndrome, where my actions are driven more by soulish desires than by a Christ-centered way of living.

What key event in my life have I recognized as part of God’s constellation?

I am choosing to align my life with God’s plan, so I’ve decided to join iXchange. This is the start of my constellation, a blessing for my future, and a transformation in my identity. The Holy Spirit moved so strongly within me, awakening my spirit man to rise and take dominion over my soul. Every soulish desire is surrendered, and I’ve been washed clean from my old ways. I no longer crave the desires of the world; my only desire now is to seek and pursue everything that God has planned for my life, every promise, every purpose, and every assignment He has in store for me.

How did the book minister to me, and what impact has it had on me?

The Laban Syndrome used to play a big part in my decision-making. I would find myself asking questions like, “Should I pray or read my Bible, or should I just do this even if it’s sinning? God will forgive me anyway, right?” This kind of thinking held me back from fully understanding and living out the Word of God. It also delayed many of the blessings that God had in store for me.

Coming to iXchange completely changed my perspective. I started to understand what it really means to act like a Christian and grow spiritually. Being here has tested the fruits of the Spirit in me, and I’ve come to realize how powerful words are in my life. Because of this, I’m now walking in God’s divine plan for me.

I didn’t even realize that the Laban Syndrome was active in my life until I read the book that helped me unmask it. I saw how I had been living as a lukewarm Christian and using manipulative words to get what I wanted. By choosing to exchange my plans for God’s plans, I’ve surrendered my will to His will, my constellation. This spiritual decision has helped me feed my spirit man through the powerful messages preached by Pastor John.

For example, I’ve learned that tithing helps shift your heart away from greed and teaches you to trust God more deeply. It also activates your faith. As I continue to honour God, I can see how He is restoring everything that the enemy, Laban, once tried to steal from me. Through this journey, I’m growing stronger in my walk with Christ and learning to fully rely on Him
