The Chariots of Light Tour started on the 27th of September 2025 and then ended on the 4th of October 2025. In my heart, the tour is still continuing, even though it ended naturally.
We went to Bronkhorstspruit to minister and spread the Good News to the community. Afterward, there was a puppet show for the kids to enjoy, and a coffee and meal station where people gathered to share food and good fellowship with us, the Chariots of Light biker group, and other community members.
During the outreach into the community, going from house to house, we met people who were open to giving their hearts to God, and others who were hungry for His Word. The outreach, for me personally, was a bit uncomfortable at first because I didn’t know how things would flow. We were divided into smaller groups, which made the encounters with people more personal and intimate.
I was nervous to speak to people because I let the enemy into my head with lies like: You are way out of your comfort zone, What if you say the wrong thing?, What if someone asks a question you can’t answer? Or what if people reject you because they don’t want to hear about Jesus? But then I remembered something someone once told me, that the enemy tries to discourage you with thoughts like these when you’re doing the right thing, like spreading the Gospel. That reminded me to have confidence and trust in the Holy Spirit, who will always give me the right words to speak when I need them.
And just like that, I got the chance to speak to a young man who lives right next to the church, but had never been saved, until Emma, Dr. Nico, and I spoke to him. We led him in prayer and gave him a Bible to read. That moment really blessed me because I had told myself that I wanted someone to come to me because I didn’t feel confident enough to approach anyone, and the Lord truly brought someone to me. Praise the Lord for that encounter!
After leaving that young man, we felt the Holy Spirit moving in him and sensed a shift in the Spirit. Leading someone to Christ was one of the expectations I had for this outreach, and the Lord truly came through, as He always does!
This was the actual start of the COL Tour. We went to Sabie and Nelspruit. The first day was very chilled. We got to the campsite and started setting up our tents in the rain; it had been raining the entire way there. We had a good night’s sleep, but it was cold, both inside and outside the tent.
On the second day, we visited our first school, which was Panda Primary School. On the way there, we stopped for coffee and then made our way to the school. This trip was truly God’s doing, because the lady at the school had prayed for a worship team to come and worship with the kids, and that’s exactly what happened. She even sowed a seed into Chariots, and I believe the school will reap the harvest of that seed.
Being there blessed them so much; I could see and feel the joy those kids had when they saw us. God’s presence was definitely among us, and we got to pray the prayer of salvation with them, which is always such a beautiful thing. Let’s just say all those kids experienced the Love of God and went home full of joy. Praise the Lord!
On our third day, we visited our second school, which was Nelspruit High School. We woke up bright and early, started our day with prayer as a group, and then went to get coffee. I recently finished school myself, so going back to a high school was quite intimidating for me because I know exactly what those teenagers are thinking and feeling, especially at this time of the year.
I was amazed at how many learners there were. We had praise and worship during their break time, which was amazing. I was a bit skeptical at first when I heard we were going to visit a high school. But in the end, it was so worth it. I know that at that stage in life, you’ve got so many voices speaking to you and so many opinions around you about your future, and it’s overwhelming because you end up not knowing what to do, or even feeling like you don’t have a purpose. But worshipping God there, in that environment, made everything feel more real, like this is why we are doing what we are doing, and this was the whole point of the tour. It reminded me, and them, that there is someone out there who has everything already planned for you, and you don’t have to stress or worry. And that education isn’t the only way to have a successful future, and that there is more to life than a degree. I sensed freedom and peace, and joy among those teenagers. There was a pull of life in that place.
On the fourth day, we also woke up bright and early to visit two schools: White River Primary School and Rob Ferreira High School. Once again, the kids at the primary school were so excited to see us and to hear the bikes! We had wonderful fellowship with them after praise and worship while handing out bookmarks. They were so cute, full of joy, and full of energy. I could really see that they felt the presence and love of God while singing for Him.
After this visit, we stopped by a coffee shop, then headed to the high school. When we arrived at Rob Ferreira, there was a small group of teenagers already gathered and ready to worship. As we started singing, a larger crowd began to form. They were so joyful, some even started dancing for the Lord! You could see the relief on their faces as we sang and prayed over them.
At the previous schools, we didn’t have time to speak to the learners individually, but at this school, we had that opportunity after praise and worship. I got the chance to speak to two Grade 9 learners and had the privilege of praying for them, which really blessed me. After visiting both schools, we all had lunch together and then headed back to camp.
The trip was truly amazing, and I believe that we left a seed in everyone’s heart that will grow and produce a great harvest. The Lord’s presence was with us everywhere we went. Seeing everything that God created, each thing with a purpose, made the tent set-ups in the rain, the cold nights, and the early mornings so worth it. To see those smiles again is pure joy. We pray for many more trips like these!
This was the last outreach we had for the COL’25 Tour, and we were back in Witbank. Chariots of Light and Victory Family Church served the community together. We had clothing, food, medical, and coffee stations set up for the people in the neighborhood.
It was heartbreaking to see how many people we helped who don’t even have the basic necessities to live. I was serving at the clothing section, and it was really sad to see so many men unable to find clothes for themselves because we ran out so quickly.
But at the same time, it was a great joy to see how grateful everyone was just to receive the care they needed. It really encourages me, especially when we pray for Witbank, to see that God is staying true to His word, that He is taking Witbank. And just knowing that we were able to serve the number of people we did, and that there are still so many more to come, gives me hope.
