I am so thankful for the opportunity to have gone on this trip. I had amazing fellowship with the 1st years, the task team, the team leaders, and the pastors. All the sessions we had with the pastors were life-changing and eye-opening. The 4 days we spent together were very special because of all the activities we had planned we did together and enjoyed every moment of it. We played a lot of volleyball, netball and card games, we went on 2 hiking trails and swam together in the pool. We had amazing food every morning and evening!
Day 1
On the first day, we had a session about the Spirit, soul, and body with Ps Christi. She said that we can’t understand or communicate with God through our souls, thus we have to be spiritual. The second session we had with her was about having a servant’s heart where she said that the gifts we have aren’t for us, but are there to serve others. [Matt 20:26-28]
Day 2
The second day we had a session with Ps Gath about what we want from iXchange, and what the name of Jesus means to us personally. He said to write everything down and speak it over our lives and that is what the Lord will be to you, call unto Him and that is what he’ll be to you. The second session we had was with Ps Melusi and it was about relationships. He asked the question, Who is Jesus to me? Jesus is God’s plan for my life.
Day 3 & 4
The third and fourth days were sessions with Ps John which also played a role in the relationship session we had with Ps Melusi. Ps John said that God doesn’t want to stay away from us because of poor performance, it’s the enemy that tries to create a gap in my relationship with God; God will never leave me nor forsake me! [Matthew 6:31 33]
Day 5
The day after we came back (day five) we had a session with Ps Sharon about Sound and song. Music comes from the Lord to bless us, to be present with us, and for Him to minister to us. [Psalms 133:1-3] Be filled with the Holy Spirit always, sing and make melody with your hearts to the Lord. [Ephesians 5:17-19] [Psalms 13:5-6]
